How our rate limits work

🚧

Aro imposes safeguards around its publicly accessible APIs to help maintain platform stability

What is Rate Limiting?

API rate limiting is a technique that restricts the number of requests a client can make to an API within a specified time frame. It is used to prevent abuse, ensure fair usage, and maintain API performance. It also helps protect server resources and maintain service quality for all users.

Aro uses rate limiting to control the request volumes received by individual Partners. Each Partner will have their own limits dependent on their agreement with Aro.

By default, this rate limit is configured to be 50 requests per minute unless an explicit agreement has been made between Aro and the Partner.

We believe this should be enough in the majority of cases but are happy to discuss an increase to this if the Partner believes it to be problematic for their use case.
